J.W. Logistics, LLC, a premier provider of final mile transportation and logistics solutions recently established a location at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. The Anchorage operation has 11 full-time, on-the-ground employees and is an extension of one of JWL’s e-commerce customers that allows them to receive freight sorted through a U.S. distribution center to offer faster delivery service to their Anchorage customers. JWL receives freight at ANC, conducts a mini sort in their facility, and then helps inject that cargo into the postal service for same-day delivery to end customers. AEDC helped JWL obtain the necessary security badging for their operations at the ANC and work through some key delivery access issues.
Founded in May 2011, JWL has grown to nearly 60 locations nationwide, with their headquarters in Frisco, TX. J.W. Logistics offers a range of logistics solutions allowing customers to stay focused on their core business. This strategy primarily involves same-day services including on-demand, distribution, and dedicated fleets of vehicles including cargo vans, straight trucks and tractor trailers. J.W. Logistics has ranked in the top 10 percent of the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing privately held companies, ranking No. 1 in Transportation & Logistics in 2015. The company is proud to partner with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a SmartWay Transport Partner to measure, benchmark and improve logistics operations so they can reduce their carbon footprint. In addition to day-to-day business, JWL intentionally invests back into the community and partners with local ministries.
