Both Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and Merrill Field are looking to grow, and they’re searching for companies to help them do it.

On March 30, the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities published an invitation seeking qualified applicants to submit formal Expressions of Interest regarding the construction and operation of a new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at TSAIA – the largest airport in Alaska and the fifth-busiest air cargo hub in the world.

While the airport has identified several potential facility sites, the area is flexible based on need, and the department may issue a Request for Proposal based on the Expressions of Interest submitted by eligible applicants, according to AKDOT. Click here to learn more and submit an EOI.

At Merrill Field, a municipally owned facility just east of downtown Anchorage, managers are seeking proposals for the development and lease of a central portion of airport property: Proposals are due at the Merrill Field Airport office — 800 Merrill Field Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 — by 3 p.m. May 14, according to airport administrators.
