Resources for Non-Profits

There are two emergency funds that non-profits can apply to right now to assist with loss of revenue due to COVID-19. Both funds are currently accepting applications until funds run out. Applying now means you will have a better chance at accessing the funds. Both of these programs include forgivable loans, which are essentially grants. Even if taking on debt isn’t right for your non-profit, these programs are still worth looking into for the forgivable loans. For more information please see: (links become buttons) The National Council of Nonprofits has a comprehensive analysis of what the FFCA means for nonprofit organizations, as well as the loans available for nonprofits through the CARES Act.

Provides non-profits with zero-fee, forgivable loans of up to $10 million to cover payroll and other operating expenses. Non-profits can apply for loans to pay for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities, and if used for those purposes, loans will be forgiven. This means non-profits can keep employees on staff and pay rent without taking on further debt. There is a limited amount of money available, so you are encouraged to apply now. In order to apply, non-profits must contact one of five local banks that are currently processing applications. These banks are listed below and will be updated regularly.
