In spring 2016, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) gained its latest industrial tenant. Alaska Commercial Company, a grocery retailer serving rural Alaska, signed a lease for 70,000 square feet of warehouse space at ANC. Alaska Commercial’s investment shows strong opportunities for expansion at ANC. ANC was ranked No. 4 in the world for landed cargo tonnage in 2015 and has substantial warehouse, office and industrial properties available. Over 200,000 square feet of building space is ready for sale or lease. Facilities ready for occupancy include a 34,000-square-foot hangar, a 17,000-square-foot warehouse, as well as a 21,000-square-foot warehouse.  ANC’s Kulis Business Park alone offers six buildings totaling over 176,000 square feet. Kulis offers a mix of aviation, industrial and office space to suit a wide variety of users. The contiguous nature of Kulis’ properties also provide a unique opportunity for users requiring substantial space and a variety of uses.

ANC has ample land available for interested tenants as well. Totaling 4,733 acres, ANC has numerous parcels primed for aviation or industrial development. Available properties range include a 32-acre on-tarmac site adjacent to UPS’ Anchorage sorting facility, to a 29-acre off-tarmac site suitable for warehousing or light industrial use in the West Airpark.
