2011 AEDC Annual Report
On behalf of the Board of Directors, it’s my pleasure to present to you AEDC’s 2011 Annual Report. Overall, 2011 was a prosperous year for AEDC and the Anchorage economy. And over the past year, the organization has been busy with a multitude of projects including our first site selection familiarization trip where national site selectors met with local policymakers and toured the city’s local infrastructure – helping us to better understand new areas of opportunity and growth in our economy.
AEDC’s Live. Work. Play. initiative was also another huge project in 2011. The vision to make Anchorage the #1 city in America to live, work, and play by 2025 saw the completion of the narrative and metrics for our city and what we aspire to be in the year 2025.
Other accomplishments over 2011 included a sellout Economic Forecast Luncheon featuring Peter Sheehan and a successful Economic Outlook event featuring Kurt Anderson.
