Comedy, Economics, and Carbon Tax!
The Alaska World Affairs Council, in partnership with UAA Student Activities and the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, presents stand-up economist, Yoram Bauman, on “Comedy, Economics, and Carbon Tax!” This evening program will leave audience members grinning with intellectual stimulation as Bauman makes the often-intimidating subjects of economics and carbon tax approachable through humor.
Bauman has a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington and is “the world’s first (and only) stand-up economist.” He has shared the stage with everyone from the late Robin Williams to Paul Krugman. Bauman is also the co-author of the Cartoon Introduction to Climate Change and the two-volume Carton Introduction to Economics.
This event is free for students and up to 25 active-duty military personnel and their spouses. General admission is $10 for Council members and $15 for non-members.
