1 Million Cups Anchorage

1 Million Cups (1MC) is a weekly educational program designed to engage, educate, and accelerate communities of entrepreneurs. More at 1millioncups.com

Each week, the 1MC program offers two local entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their start-ups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors and entrepreneurs. Presenters prepare a 6 minute educational presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback and questioning after they present. Entrepreneurs gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses, gather realtime feedback, connect with a community that truly cares about their progress, and walk away feeling like they have advanced their business. The audience also learns a great deal from the presentations.

THIS WEEK: Bradley Nelson – North Arrow Alaska, an oil and gas company founded in 2014. “Our first project is to create a new wellhead shelter for ConocoPhillips. ConocoPhillips alone replaces 50 old Wellhead shelters a year with some times hundreds a year in new construction. We have finished with design and have it approved to be installed. We are looking for funding to create our prototype. The Wellhead Shelter is just the beginning, we also investing into building modular buildings and hope to build one very soon.”
