Energy Efficiency Finance Forum
The Alaska Energy Authority, with the support of local partners, will host the first-ever Alaska Energy Efficiency Finance Seminar, providing an opportunity for Alaskans to learn more about energy efficiency as a business investment. While energy efficiency is widely recognized as a method of saving public and private commercial building owners energy and money, the ability to pay for energy efficiency improvements currently lies in figuring out how to finance them. The seminar will connect building owners with lenders to explore how Alaska can overcome the barriers to commercial building energy efficiency finance and learn why energy efficiency improvement is an investment that everyone can benefit from long-term. The seminar will include keynote speakers, panel discussions on financing and energy efficiency, and will wrap up with a Deal Room facilitated by AEDC’s Jon Bittner— an opportunity for representatives of pre-selected projects to pitch their idea and answer questions.
