Anchorage Consumer Optimism Index: Q3 2025
The Anchorage Consumer Optimism Index is a survey of ~600 Anchorage residents using the Alaska Consumer Optimism Index survey tool.
The survey was performed by Alaska Survey Research, and the report was generated by the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation. This work was made possible by the report sponsor, Furniture Enterprises of Alaska.
The index combines 3 components of consumer sentiment which are scored on a 100-point scale. Results above 50 indicate optimism and results below 50 indicate pessimism.
The Anchorage Consumer Optimism Index (ANCi) for Q3 2025 (July–September) was 41.1. This marks a decrease in consumer confidence and is below the Q4 trend for the past two years, making the lowest consumer confidence since Q3 2022.
Confidence in the local economy has decreased slightly, as compared to the same quarter last year.
Personal financial confidence has increased slightly compared to the same quarter in 2024 but has decreased from Q2 2025 (-0.9%).
Future expectations dropped significantly (-4.3%), from Q2 2025, and decreased (-4.2%) from Q3 2024.
