Anchorage, Alaska – The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) today announced that President & CEO Jenna Wright has made the difficult decision to step down from her role to focus on her health and spend time with her family. The AEDC Board of Directors will launch a comprehensive search for a new President & CEO to advance our mission.

Earlier this year, AEDC partnered with The Foraker Group to ensure leadership continuity. Heather Harris, a consultant with Foraker, has served and will continue to serve as Interim President & CEO, providing steady guidance and support until the Board completes its search for a permanent successor. Harris brings extensive experience, ensuring AEDC remains focused on its mission to strengthen Anchorage’s economy.
“Jenna has been an extraordinary leader and visionary for Anchorage, and her impact on AEDC and our community is immeasurable,” said Michelle Klouda, AEDC Board Chair. “While her decision saddens us, we fully support her priorities and wishes. We are grateful for her tireless dedication and leadership.”

The AEDC Board and staff extend heartfelt appreciation to Jenna for her leadership and to the Anchorage community, investors, and partners for their continued support. Out of respect for Jenna’s privacy during this time, please direct questions, well wishes, or business-related inquiries to the AEDC team. Updates on the leadership search will be shared as they become available.
