Our team is hard at work preparing an outstanding fall program for the AEDC 2025 Economic Summit – and if you haven’t heard, we’re shaking things up this year!
For the first time ever, we’re adding breakout sessions that will give you the chance to dig deeper into the issues shaping Anchorage’s economic future, like housing, energy, and economic opportunities surrounding our proximity to the Arctic as well as an interactive session on the Choose Anchorage initiative. This new format is designed to create space for deeper learning, connection, and strategy-building across topics.
Of course, you’ll still get the AEDC’s signature economic updates during the lunch: our mid-year jobs report, consumer confidence, business confidence, and a special look at how national policy shifts are impacting Anchorage, an issue that we know is increasingly important for local businesses and investors.
We’re also thrilled to welcome this year’s keynote speaker, Mary C. Daly, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In a time of rapid economic shifts and continued uncertainty around national fiscal policy, Mary is one of the most relevant voices in the country. She brings not only deep economic expertise, but a practical, grounded approach to the challenges cities like Anchorage are navigating right now. Her insights will offer a national perspective tailored to the realities we’re seeing on the ground here in Alaska during her visits to Fairbanks and Anchorage.
